We’ve received some feedback from people who are feeling pretty ripped off right now. According to the xbox.com page of the XBLA version of “Sonic 2″ being displayed is the fact that the game includes “Xbox Live CO-OP” when it actually doesn’t…. WHOOPS!
After a little searching it seems that gamers on the xbox.com forums are pretty ticked off at this fact as they feel this is False Advertising at it’s finest. I doubt Microsoft was actually trying to fool anyone as it was probably a miscommunication with the xbox.com webmaster.
I have contacted Microsoft about this problem and hopefully it will be fixed. But what about the gamers who bought the game expecting Xbox Live CO-OP? Who Knows.

I thought I had it and me and shadow tried to start up a game… lets just say Marathon won…
I had actually sent a few emails asking friends who would be getting it and telling them to ready up for some co-op action on Sonic 2 as soon as it would come out. It so happens that as soon as it came out I straight out bought it without trying the demo and as soon as I fired it up I went to the menu and… and… damm… where the friggin’ is the co-op option…???? …No wonder I couldn’t find it…
yeah i was ready to wreck with mr. AfRo SaUcE there but dang microsoft is a jerk
Id say the VS mode was better then nothing. Its Sonic just get the rings and go. Besides if it was co-op it would suck with that split screen.
Seriously, I was really upset. I never got to play sonic with anyone else when I was younger and I really wanted to try it out.

I thought this was gonna have CO-OP and I was gonna be able to play with my buddy who lives a few hours away.
all i have to say is that I paid 400 points to play co-op to play with my friends.. this is BS..

hardcore sonic fans like my self love that co-op i like tails more than sonic.–
You can select to play as tails only in the options menu for single player.the downside to this is tails cant fly its just sonic with different sprite skins.
koidzukare: Speaking for myself, of course I’ve actually played Sonic 2 co-op. Way back on the Genesis(Mega Drive) when it came out in 1992. I played it to death. It’s still one of my favorite games of all time.
The issue isn’t that people wanted to play the co-op, it’s that it was listed as one of the features and wasn’t there if you purchased the game expecting it to be there, which you could only play after purchase.
